After leaving swim lessons at the Southwest Community Center last night, I looked mournfully over to the restaurant space that used to house PB & Ellie's, and wished it was still there so I didn't have to go home and cook for my kids. Lo and behold, I swear the marquee said "future home of Laughing Planet Cafe." I didn't see an announcement on Laughing Planet's website. Has any one heard this is so? I'm glad that great family-friendly space will be filled with another home-grown family friendly eatery.

Yeah! So good.

Never been to Laughing Planet. What kind of food do they serve?

Oh, this sounds awesome! We were regulars at PBE and were so sad to see them close. Looking at their website, this sounds just as good or maybe even better! Thanks for sharing the good news! Any indication of when they'll open? What kind of play space do their other locations have, if any?

Laughing Planet is a wonderful, family friendly , neighborhood joint kind of place with rice bowls, burritos and more. They have won awards as a sustainable business, and are amazing in what they have accomplished in serving local, organic and yummy foods at a really affordable price! They hope to open early August, I couldn't be happier they took over the space! I think they are perfect for the neighborhood and PB & Ellie's former customers will love them.

I love LP on N Mississippi, we love to play with the dinos on the tables and check out the art on the walls. Super healthy options and absolutely everything is deliciousness. Quick service and great music and sing-alongs!
