Ladybug Nature Walks, May 16, 10am, Fernhill Park. This 1 to 1.5 hour walk is stroller-friendly and a great way to get the kids excited about exploring nature. The guides are always upbeat and interesting, and the kids love wearing those little ladybug backpacks filled with nature tools. $2 per child. Meet at playground at NE 37th and Ainsworth.
UFO Festival, May 16-17, McMenamins Hotel Oregon. I know, I know, this has been on your calendar for months. Such old news. Well, for those who haven't been anxiously awaiting the big event, most of the crazy fun happens on Saturday, with the UFO Costume Parade at 1pm, followed by the Alien Pet Costume Contest at 2pm.
PDX Kids Clothing Swap, May 17 at 11am, Milagros Boutique. Get rid of clothes your kids can't wear anymore and pick up some new-to-you clothing in exchange. Check the Milagros site for all the details!

Children's Nature Fair, May 17, 10am-3pm, Leach Botanical Garden. This event features a variety of educational activities for kids of all ages. Special this year, Dinosaurs Invade Portland! Learn about dinosaurs and where they lived, find fossils and learn about the plants that dinosaurs ate. $2 per child. 6704 SE 122nd Ave.
The Science of Juggling, May 17 & 18, OMSI. If I take my daughter to this, we will never leave. She's been trying to learn to juggle for months. This special exhibit explores the art of juggling as it relates to science. Lots of cool juggling to watch by Rhys Thomas and local jugglers, who will also offer instruction! FREE with admission.
Greener Homes & Garden Show, May 17, 10am-6pm, May 18, 11am-5pm, Portland EXPO Center. Booths, exhibits and workshops focus on green remodeling, landscaping and gardening, alternative transportation, renewable energy and conservation and combating global warming. $3 suggested donation benefits the Portland Habitat for Humanity ReStore!
