If you haven't picked up this month's Metro Parent yet, it's near-to-exploding with egg hunts, rabbit romps, and crazed sugar-fueled dashes for plastic eggs. Call it what you will!
Here's a list of a few events (all on Saturday, April 7):
- Alpenrose Dairy: 10:30am for kids aged 3-5; 11:30 for moms; 12:30pm kids aged 6-8. Free.
- Blue Lake Bunny Bonanza Egg Hunt: 10:30am for kids 4 and under; 11amfor kids 5-10. Also features face-painting and colording. Free but with a $4 parking fee.
- Lake Oswego Children's Egg Hunt: 9am at Westlake Park, kids up to age 10. Free.
- Rabbit Romp at the Zoo: Hunts start every 20 minutes from 9am to 3pm for kids ages 2-10. Free with admission.
- Wilsonville Egg Hunt: 10am at Memorial Park, ages 1-11. Free.
Do you have any favorites egg hunt events from the offerings around town? Or do you have any family egg hunt traditions you'd like to share?

This isn't really and egg-hunt. But one thing I started doing was having the kids collect all the stuffed bunnies, ducks and chicks in the house right before easter. Then this possee (sp?) forms the welcome committee for when the "real easter bunny" comes with their baskets. They like it, and they like extending this kind of hospitality. Kindof like cookies for Santa. I only did it because I didn't want to buy *new* stuffed bunnies every year, but also liked the photo op of a whole huge backdrop of bunnies behind the easter baskets.
