Cookbook offers sneaky tips for getting your kids to eat veggies

While I was climbing the StairMaster at the SWCC this morning and trying not to have a coronary, the Today Show brought on Missy Chase Lapine who has just published a cookbook called The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids Favorite Meals. She's developed a bunch of recipes that contain fruits and veggies disguised as "normal" kid food. Chocolate chip cookies made from blueberries and spinach. Pasta sauce from pureed sweet potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. The Today Show even filmed kids eating the stuff and loving it (hmmm, or maybe they were promised candy if they didn't throw up). I dunno, but it looks promising. Many of you have shared similar ideas before on ReadySetMom, but I'm the kind of cook that needs a recipe and lots of hand-holding. The book comes out later this week...might be worth checking out.
